About Our Practice
The Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) Center for Excellence in Sports Medicine is a comprehensive practice specializing in the treatment of young and growing athletes. Athletes that are still growing are considered skeletally immature, meaning their growth plates have not yet closed. When exploring treatment options, sports medicine providers must consider the effects these treatment options may have on a young athlete’s growth and development. We specialize in recognizing, understanding and reacting to these implications in order to provide the best care for each patient.
Our team is comprised of a combination of operative and non-operative physicians, advanced nurse practitioners, athletic trainers, registered nurses, and medical assistants. As a team, we work to develop the best treatment plan for each athlete to get them back in the game.
