Marsha Carpenter, M.D., F.A.A.P
Dr. Marsha Carpenter is a staff developmental pediatrician at the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at TSRHC where she serves on the multidisciplinary team that provides evaluation and consultation for children with learning disorders. She directs an annual physicians’ conference “Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics for Primary Care” and coordinates the pediatric resident rotations in the Center for Dyslexia. Dr. Carpenter is assistant professor of pediatrics at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and associate staff at Children's Medical Center Dallas. She earned her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Kansas Medical Center and Children's Hospital of Michigan. Dr. Carpenter is board certified in pediatrics and subspecialty board certified in developmental-behavioral pediatrics, both by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the Society for Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Texas Pediatric Society Committees on Children’s Mental Health and Children with Disabilities.
