Robert L. "Bob" Walker

Robert L. (Bob) Walker joined the Hospital in 1979.  He is responsible for the overall strategic and operational direction of the hospital and continuing its position as one of the top-ranked pediatric orthopedic hospitals in the nation.  Bob was named president and chief executive officer in 2012 and previously served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer. Bob's current strategic responsibilities include working with the Board of Trustees, medical and administrative staff to ensure that the highest degree of medical care is provided to our patients. In addition, he is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the hospital.

Bob serves on the board of trustees as well as the Executive Committee and Audit Committee of the Texas Hospital Association. He also serves on the board of trustees for the Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Council, the advisory board for The Ronald McDonald House, the advisory board for Camp John Marc and the Executive Committee of the Dallas White Rock Marathon.  Bob is past board chairman for the Shelton School and Evaluation Center. A native of Garland, Texas, he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from East Texas University and his Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, where he has been honored with the Trinity University Dean Leonard A. Duce Award for Excellence in Healthcare. Bob is a 33° Scottish Rite Mason and holds fellowship status in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

J. C. Montgomery, Jr.

J. C. Montgomery, Jr., joined the staff of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in 1974 and was named president in 1989.  He is a native of Millington, Tennessee, received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and his Master of Public Health, Hospital Administration, degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his administrative residency at Baylor University Medical Center and worked for five years on staff at Parkland Hospital.  

J. C. is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on numerous professional, civic and Masonic organizations. He is a 33° Scottish Rite Mason – Grand Cross.

Mark G. Bateman

Mark G. Bateman joined Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as vice president of Public Relations in 2010. Mark oversees the Public Relations department, which includes the Special Events and Communications teams responsible for supporting the more than 250 annual fundraising events benefiting the hospital and both internal and external communications efforts. He also guides the efforts of the hospital’s Media Services department.

Mark earned his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree from Northwestern University. Before joining TSRHC, Mark served as chief executive officer of the Dallas office of Publicis, which is the third largest global communications company. Mark’s civic involvement includes serving on the North Texas board of the Association of American Advertising Agencies and guest lecturer for the College of Communication at The University of Texas at Austin. In addition, Mark was a volunteer at TSRHC for many years before joining the staff full time. Mark is also a member of the Knox-Corinthian Lodge # 851.

Stephanie Brigger

Stephanie Brigger has served as the vice president of Development at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children since 2003. She is accountable for all of the hospital's fundraising activities. Stephanie joined the hospital in 1987 as director of Ambulatory Care and was responsible for managing the ambulatory care services, medical records, laboratories, chaplaincy services and patient access areas in an administrative role.

Stephanie received her bachelor's degree in nursing from The University of Iowa in 1981 and graduated summa cum laude from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1993 with a master's degree in nursing administration. She was named one of Dallas-Fort Worth's Great 100 Nurses in 1995 and a member of the Leadership Dallas class of 2003.

Matt Chance

Matt Chance joined the staff of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as Senior Vice President of Operations in 2015. In his role, Matt works closely with our physicians and staff to enhance the hospital's day-to-day operations and to ensure every TSRHC patient receives clinical and service excellence.

Matt earned his undergraduate degree from Austin College and a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University. Prior to joining TSRHC, Matt served as Chief Executive Officer of Baylor Medical Center at Uptown and in various operational roles at Children’s Medical Center Dallas

Matt is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is a past President of the ACHE of North Texas chapter. Matt was a volunteer at TSRHC for many years, is a past President of the TSRHC Volunteer Auxiliary, and is a Mason.

Leslie A. "Les" Clonch, Jr.

Leslie A. "Les" Clonch, Jr., joined Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as Vice President and Chief Information Officer in 2014. Les' responsibilities include providing TSRHC with a strategic and tactical vision that ensures the organization has an information systems infrastructure that supports the pediatric orthopaedic hospital’s world-class patient care, medical education and research.

Les earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, and his Masters Degree in Business Administration from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida. He served as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer for several large health care networks before coming to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

Lori L. Dalton

Lori Dalton joined the staff of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as Vice President and General Counsel in 2007.  Before joining TSRHC, Dalton was a senior partner at Thompson & Knight LLP in Dallas. She served as the Health Law Practice Leader and was a member of the Trial Department, focusing her practice on health law and commercial litigation.

Lori received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Baylor University and graduated cum laude from the SMU Dedman School of Law in 1990.  Her work has been published in several law trade publications. She has been featured in Texas Monthly’s “Texas Super Lawyers” and Lawdragon 3000’s “Leading Lawyers in America”. Lori’s professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, the American Health Lawyers Association and DRI-The Voice of the Defense Bar. She is active in various community groups.

Ellen Haynes

Ellen Haynes joined Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in 2014. Ellen’s focus on Major Gifts and Corporate Giving complements the activities and programs conducted by the Development department, in order to gain support for the hospital’s mission and serve more children with its world-class pediatric orthopedic care.

Ellen is a native of Dallas and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University in Durham, N.C., a Master’s Degree in Art History from Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. She joined TSRHC with more than 18 years of experience in health care development positions and currently serves as a member of the Alumnae Association Board of Directors for the Hockaday School.

Jeremy Howell

Jeremy Howell joined Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in 1998 as Assistant Director of Volunteer Services. His new responsibilities include overseeing TSRHC's Sports Medicine Center.

William R. “Bill” Huston

William R. “Bill” Huston joined Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2013.  Bill’s responsibilities include oversight of the Business Administration and Revenue Cycle departments, as well as Supply Chain. 

Bill is a native of Oak Ridge, Tennessee and earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from David Lipscomb University in Nashville and his Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee in Nashville.  He served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for several large health care networks before coming to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.

Donald E. Katz

Donald E. Katz joined the hospital in 1986 as a staff orthotist and served as Director of Orthotics through 2007.  His responsibilities now include oversight of all hospital Capital Improvement Projects, and he supports the Engineering, Environmental Services, Orthotics, Prosthetics, Psychology and Security departments. Don earned his Six Sigma Green Belt in Healthcare from Villanova University and leads the hospital’s Lean/Six Sigma initiative. He also continues to maintain a clinical practice specializing in the orthotic treatment of scoliosis. Don earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center’s Prosthetic and Orthotic program after attending The University of Texas at Austin. He attended the University of Texas at Arlington where he earned his Master of Science in Health Care Administration. He is a Fellow with the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, an Associate Fellow with the Scoliosis Research Society, and a past president of both the national Academy and the Texas Chapter of the Academy. In 2012, he was appointed to serve as Chairman of the Orthotic and Prosthetic Education and Research Foundation. He authored the book chapter, “Orthoses for Spinal Deformities,” in the Atlas of Orthoses and Assistive Devices published by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and has published original research in the journal of Spine, the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, the Journal of Prosthetics and Orthotics, the journal of Gait and Posture, and the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery.

Fredric D. Richmond, CFA

Fred Richmond joined the staff of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital as Vice President and Chief Investment Officer in 2013. Prior to joining TSRHC Fred was Chief Investment Officer at the national office of the Boy Scouts of America. Prior to joining the Boy Scouts in May 2000 he was the Assistant Administrator – Investments for the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System. Prior to joining the Dallas Police and Fire in November 1994, he was with the Dallas office of Mercer Investment Consulting. Fred’s investment experience dates back to 1978 when he joined Dean Witter’s headquarters staff in San Francisco, CA.

Fred holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and the CFA Society of Dallas Fort Worth.

Sharon Larson Riley

Sharon Riley joined the staff of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as Chief of Business Development - Strategy in 2016. Riley is passionate about developing and implementing strategic initiatives, as well as leading health care teams through operational processes to improve the quality of their care.

Riley earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s in hospital and health administration from the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Prior to joining the team at Scottish Rite Hospital, Riley supported large physician group practices as a health care consultant and served as CEO of UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Vice President for University hospitals, UT Southwestern Medical Center. Riley is a member of the International Women’s Foundation and Texas Women’s Ventures and has been active with the American Heart Association.

Debra A. “Debbie” Sayles

Debra A. “Debbie” Sayles joined the staff of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in November of 1994 as Director of Inpatient Nursing with more than 22 years of experience.  In February of 1998, she was promoted to Assistant Administrator and has held various administrative positions through the years. In 2009, Sayles began serving as the Chief Nursing Officer and was appointed Vice President in 2013. She still holds both of those positions today.

As a tertiary referral center for children with complex orthopedic needs, Sayles works closely with the nursing staff and physicians to ensure a safe environment that provides the highest quality of patient care for all the children of Scottish Rite Hospital. In her role, Sayles is also responsible for Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement throughout the organization and develops and sustains an environment, which supports excellence and innovation in clinical practice and patient care that supports positive patient outcomes.  

Sayles is a native of Rhode Island and received her Diploma in Nursing from Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing. Before joining Scottish Rite Hospital she served in various staff nursing and leadership positions in Iowa, Michigan and Texas. Sayles completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration at the University of Texas-Southwestern and her Master’s Degree in Business Administration at the University of Dallas.

Sayles is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and holds her certification as a Nurse Executive through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Other professional organizations she belongs to include the American Nurses Association and the American College of Health Care Executives. For more than ten years she is been an active volunteer with the Highland Park United Methodist Church “Night OWLS” program which provides respite care for families of children with special needs and their siblings. Sayles also serves as a member of the church’s Special Needs Ministry Advisory Board.

Connie Wright

Connie Wright joined the staff of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as vice president of human resources in 2015. With more than twenty-two years of experience, Wright is passionate about designing cultures that engage and establishing a continuous learning environment with strong employee relations. 

Wright earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin, and a master’s in business administration from Texas Women’s University in Denton. Prior to joining the team at TSRHC, Wright worked at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas, where she was a human resources officer since 2010. At Presbyterian, Wright's team focused on a high performance environment where people, learning and fun were the priorities. This resulted in an employee-centric culture that garnered engagement scores at the 99th percentile nationally, the Press Ganey Beacon Award and numerous Best Places to Work accolades.
