J. C. Montgomery, Jr.
President
J. C. Montgomery, Jr., a native of Millington, Tennessee, received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond and his Master of Public Health, Hospital Administration, degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his administrative residency at Baylor University Medical Center and worked for five years on staff at Parkland Hospital.

He joined the staff of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in 1974 and was named president in 1989. J. C. is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on numerous professional, civic and Masonic organizations. He is a 33º Scottish Rite Mason – Grand Cross.

Robert "Bob" L. Walker
Executive Vice President and Administrator

Bob Walker joined the administrative staff at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in 1979. He was named executive vice president and administrator in 1989. Bob's responsibilities include management of the day-to-day operations of the hospital to ensure that the highest degree of medical care is provided to our patients.

Bob is a native of Garland, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from East Texas University and his Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Bob is a 33° Scottish Rite Mason and holds fellowship status in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Stephanie Brigger
Vice President of Development

Stephanie Brigger has served as the vice president of Development at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children since 2003. She is accountable for all of the hospital's fundraising activities. Stephanie joined the hospital in 1987 as director of Ambulatory Care and was responsible for managing the ambulatory care services, medical records, laboratories, chaplaincy services and patient access areas in an administrative role.

Stephanie received her bachelor's degree in nursing from The University of Iowa in 1981 and graduated summa cum laude from The University of Texas at Arlington in 1993 with a master's degree in nursing administration. She was named one of Dallas-Fort Worth's Great 100 Nurses in 1995 and a member of the Leadership Dallas class of 2003.

Lori Dalton
Vice President and General Counsel
Lori Dalton joined the staff of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as vice president and general counsel in 2007. Before joining TSRHC, Dalton was partner at Thompson & Knight LLP in Dallas. She served as the Health Law Practice Leader and was a member of the Trial Department, focusing her practice on health law and commercial litigation.

Lori received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Baylor University and graduated cum laude from the SMU Dedman School of Law in 1990. Her work has been published in several law trade publications. In 2006, she was featured in Texas Monthly’s “Texas Super Lawyers” edition and Lawdragon 3000’s “Leading Lawyers in America” edition. Lori’s professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, the American Health Lawyers Association and DRI-The Voice of the Defense Bar.

Sharon Ellis
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Sharon Ellis joined Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as vice president and chief financial officer in 2009. Sharon was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She earned her bachelor’s in Business Administration from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Sharon received her master’s in Business Administration from the American Graduate School of International Management – the renowned Thunderbird School in Phoenix, Arizona. She is on the board of directors of the Dallas Chapter of Financial Executives International and is a member of the Junior League of Dallas. Sharon also serves on the board of directors of the Baylor Health Care System Foundation, where she previously served as chairman and as a member of the executive committee for Baylor Health Care System’s Caduceus Society. She has also served on the board of directors of the North Texas Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation; Women in the Home Industry Today; and Furniture Fellowship. She is a guest lecturer at MBA programs at The University of Texas at Dallas and University of Houston on corporate finance, capital markets, corporate governance and investments. Sharon was an active member of the Associate Board Executive Mentor Program for Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business.

Kristina “Kris” Keever-Smith
Vice President and Chief Investment Officer
Kris Keever-Smith joined Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in 1989. She has held several positions throughout the years, from director of Business Administration to controller. Since January 2005, she has served as vice president and chief investment officer. Kris works directly with the president and the finance and investment committee of the board in the management of the hospital’s investments.

Kris received a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas A&M University in 1987. She is a certified public accountant and holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst®.
