WHY:
Organized in 1998 by a group of individuals committed to assisting TSRHC, the San Angelo Sporting Clay Shoot raises awareness about the hospital and reaches out to families in West Texas who may benefit from treatment at TSRHC. This is the 11th year for this event, which, since its inception, has raised more than $365,000 for TSRHC.
ABOUT PRESTON PEREZ:
TSRHC patient Preston Perez, age 11 of Midland, has been a patient at TSRHC for six years. He is treated for cerebral palsy, a condition that affects muscle coordination and body movement, and recently had his second surgery for his legs in February at TSRHC. His mother reports that he is doing wonderful and the surgery "helped him a lot," thanks to the care that he received from the hospital. Preston enjoys football and spending time with his younger brother and sister. This will be the fifth year for Eddie Perez, Preston’s father, to participate in the clay shoot, which has become a family event and a way to give back to TSRHC.
