BREAKING NEWS: Permanent IRA Charitable Rollover Signed Into Law
The IRA charitable rollover legislation passed by Congress has been signed by the President. This law extends the IRA charitable rollover retroactively for 2015 and makes it permanent.
To take advantage of the extension for 2015, you may arrange a direct transfer from your IRA to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children by December 31 to count against your required minimum distribution for 2015. To qualify, the IRA owner must be age 70½ or older, the annual limit is $100,000. Donor-advised funds and supporting organizations are not eligible.
