Neurology - Registered Nurse
This position promotes the delivery of comprehensive family-centered care for children with complex neurological disorders. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the coordination of outpatient clinics, delivery of patient and family education and case management of children with medically complex conditions across our continuum of care. Will closely work with our Neurophysiology department by providing conscious sedation to patients during EEG/EMG in that lab, as well as Botox injections within the clinic setting. Candidates must be a graduated of an accredited school of professional nursing. Must possess current TX RN license, current conscious sedation credentialing or a willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment. Inpatient Nursing – Registered Nurse
Primary duties include prescribing, delegating and coordinating nursing care provided on a pediatric unit. Our hospital cares for infant through adolescent-aged children with medical, surgical, orthopedic or neurological conditions. Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, hold a current TX RN license and a CPR certification. Pediatric nursing experience preferred. Inpatient Nursing - Patient Care Technician
The position assists in direct patient care under the supervision of an RN or LVN on a pediatric unit which cares for infants, toddlers, pre school, school age, and adolescents, with both medical and surgical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions, as well as, children with developmental disabilities. High school degree or equivalent required. Completion of a specialty training such as Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant approved certification program required. This position is responsible for interfacing and interacting with staff, patients and their families and the community as a resource expert, consultant and educator to help ensure appropriate coordination of resources and information. A bachelor's degree in social work from an accredited social work program and a Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners (i.e. TSBSWE) licensure at the Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) level is required. A minimum of five years experience in healthcare social work preferred, as well as experience with developmentally delayed or neurologically impaired children. The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with various audiences, the ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize requests for community resources and the ability to supervise and direct activities of volunteer staff (including students) and utilize hospital support staff as appropriate. Neurophysiology Technologist
Performs intraoperative monitoring and some clinical EEG, EP and/or NCS with limited supervision using developmentally appropriate methods. High school graduate or equivalent required. Sterile Processing Technician
This position accurately and completely performs all necessary tasks for proper cleaning, decontaminating, assembling, packaging, sterilizing, storing and issuing of surgical instruments, surgical implants and patient care equipment by complying with established department policies and procedures. High school graduate or equivalent. Numerical and clerical ability required to assemble correct number of components on procedure and implant trays, to record issues and credits to implant inventory and to maintain accurate and complete records of sterilization.
