TSRHC Trustee and Patients to Light Holiday Tree at Hospital’s Annual Tree-lighting Ceremony

More than 400 volunteers from community organizations to attend
and help decorate holiday trees

WHO: – Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) Trustee and Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives, The Honorable Pete Laney
- TSRHC patients and siblings, Will and Ellie Butts, ages 5 and 2 of Tyler, Texas, who will light the 18-foot holiday tree
- More than 400 community members representing a variety of Dallas-area organizations
- TSRHC patients, families, volunteers and staff members

WHAT: To kick off the 2012 holiday season, TSRHC will host a holiday tree-lighting ceremony and decorating party. TSRHC trustee and Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives, The Honorable Pete Laney, along with TSRHC patients Will and Ellie Butts will officially light the hospital’s 18-foot holiday tree. Following the tree lighting ceremony, community members, representing Dallas-area organizations, will decorate the more than 50 holiday trees located throughout the hospital. The Town North Concert Band will provide holiday music. Following tree decorating, dinner will be provided for all participants.

WHEN: Tuesday, November 27, 2012
5:00-5:45 p.m. – Guests arrive, Holiday Reception begins
6:00 p.m. – Program begins
6:10 p.m. – Tree Lighting
6:20 p.m. – Decorating begins and dinner is served
