Accomplished leaders will help continue mission of caring for Texas children
(DALLAS – April 23, 2012) — Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) in Dallas proudly announces the recent election of Larry V. Kane of El Paso, Texas; Jerry R. McNair of Allen, Texas; and Michael L. Wiggins, Ph.D., of Dallas, Texas, as members of its board of trustees. In their new roles, they will represent TSRHC in the community and throughout the state to support the hospital’s mission of providing the highest quality medical care for Texas children. TSRHC treats children with orthopaedic conditions, such as scoliosis, clubfoot, hand disorders, hip disorders and limb length differences, as well as certain related neurological disorders and learning disorders, such as dyslexia.

The tremendous leadership abilities of our trustees give me great confidence that we will succeed.”
The three newest members of the board are active in various Masonic activities and bring a unique set of skills and experience to the board of trustees.
Larry V. Kane (El Paso, Texas) – Larry V. Kane is retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in the Vietnam War and is a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. After his discharge, Kane attended Santa Anna College. An active Mason, he serves as general secretary of the El Paso Scottish Rite Valley. Kane and his wife, Mary, reside in El Paso.
Jerry R. McNair (Allen, Texas) – Jerry R. McNair is a retired sales executive. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Pacific Western University and did graduate work in marketing, communications and creative strategies at the University of Chicago. An active Mason, McNair serves as general secretary of the Dallas Scottish Rite Valley. He resides in Allen with his wife, Sandy.
Michael L. Wiggins (Dallas, Texas) – Michael L. Wiggins is president of William M. Cobb & Associates, a Dallas petroleum engineering firm. While a petroleum and geological engineering professor at the University of Oklahoma, he participated in a host of government and privately funded research projects and is a widely published author on the subject. Wiggins holds bachelor, master and doctoral degrees in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University. An active Mason, he serves as junior grand warden of the Grand Lodge of Texas. Wiggins resides in Dallas with his wife, Tanya.
