Local 13-Year-Old to Participate In Learn to Golf Clinic Designed for Children With Physical Challenges

WHAT: TSRHC patients will participate in a Learn to Golf clinic taught by golf professionals specially trained to teach children with physical challenges. Junior golfers will learn about golf safety, etiquette, driving, chipping and putting.

TSRHC’s Learn to Golf program is designed for patients with challenging physical conditions. Learn to Golf provides the tools and instruction needed for patients to participate in and reap the rehabilitative benefits of golf.

The Learn to Golf program is proudly presented by WorldLink, Inc. The program also receives support from the North Texas Golf Course Superintendents Association and the National Alliance for Accessible Golf, which is funded through the United States Golf Association (USGA). There is no charge for patients to participate.

8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. – Registration
9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Learn to Golf clinic
11:30 a.m. to Noon – Lunch

ABOUT CHLOE: Chloe Thomas, age 13 of Waco, Texas has been involved in the Learn to Golf program for three years. She is a patient of TSRHC and underwent heel cord lengthening surgery when she was about 4 years old. Chloe has taken golf lessons in the past after getting involved in the Learn to Golf program. She enjoys choir and is active in her church youth group. Chloe is in the eighth grade at Rapoport Academy Public School.
