Raffle proceeds benefit Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Bill Hunt Scholarship
(DALLAS – January 13, 2011) — Don’t miss your chance to be a part of one of Dallas’ biggest sporting events! Super Bowl XLV will be played in Arlington, TX on February 6, 2011 and local clothing store, Ken’s Man’s Shop, is providing you and a friend a chance to be there for the historic event. Ken’s Man’s Shop is hosting the “Super Benefit” raffle with proceeds benefiting Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and the Bill Hunt Scholarship administered by the BEST Education Foundation.
Participants can pay $200 for one raffle ticket and have a chance to win a pair of game tickets, a game day brunch for two at Fearing’s Restaurant, a full day of car service to and from the game, as well as an autographed and framed Troy Aikman jersey. To commemorate the year that Ken’s Man’s Shop opened its doors in 1964, 1,964 raffle tickets will be available for purchase. The lucky winner will be announced Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Ken’s Man’s Shop located at the corner of Preston and Royal.
Tickets may be purchased with all major credit cards or cash in two locations. Ken’s Man’s Shop will have tickets available for purchase during normal business hours which are Monday-Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tickets may also be purchased through the BEST Education Foundation located at the Harris Hill Administration Building in Garland at 501 S. Jupiter.
About the Bill Hunt Scholarship and BEST Education Foundation
The Bill Hunt Scholarship was started by Ken Helfman, owner of Ken’s Man’s Shop, in memory of his long time employee and friend, Bill Hunt. The scholarship is awarded to a deserving graduating senior at Garland High School, which is where Mr. Hunt attended school. The BEST Education Foundation generates and distributes resources to support and enrich education for all students in the Garland Independent School District. The BEST Education Foundation supports educational excellence by providing funds for enrichment purposes in program areas not otherwise funded by Garland ISD.
