More Than 70 North Texas Kids to Participate in
KidSwing-McKinney Golf Tournament Benefiting
Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children
All-Kids Golf Tournament, Originally Founded by Former Patient, Expands to McKinney Area for First Time

WHAT:
The inaugural KidSwing-McKinney golf tournament benefiting TSRHC includes a nine-hole, best-ball scramble for children ages 7 to 18 and an 18-hole competitive tournament for players ages 14 to 18. The tournament will include an awards reception and dinner. There is no entry fee to play in the tournament, but children who enter are encouraged to raise $100 for the hospital by asking their family and friends to “sponsor” them.

Monday, August 4, 2008
11 a.m. – 18-hole competitive tournament check-in
12:30 p.m. – 18-hole competitive tournament shotgun start
1 p.m. – Nine-hole, best-ball scramble check-in
2 p.m. – Nine-hole, best-ball scramble shotgun start
5:30 p.m. – Awards reception begins

KIDSWING INFORMATION:
This will be the inaugural year for KidSwing-McKinney, an all-kids golf tournament similar to KidSwing golf tournament, which was founded by former TSRHC patient, 16-year-old Ben Sater, in 2003. Ben founded KidSwing to give back to the hospital for the care he received.

KidSwing-McKinney will include an 18-hole competitive tournament for players ages 14 to 18, in addition to the nine-hole, best-ball scramble for players ages 7 to 18. HOSPITAL INFORMATION:
