Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children is located at its original site in the heart of the dynamic Turtle Creek area just north of downtown Dallas and adjacent to Reverchon Park. Visitors to TSRHC enjoy a beautiful campus, wonderful views and easy access to almost anywhere in the city.
Construction Ahead!
A two-year construction project has begun on the stretch of Oak Lawn Avenue between Interstate Highway 35E and Maple Avenue. If you’re traveling to the hospital by either northbound or southbound I-35E (Stemmons Freeway), we have proposed two alternate routes to help you avoid the traffic and congestion associated with the construction. Please plan to add 30 minutes to your travel time.
The hospital is also undergoing some renovations, and relocation of TSRHC's main entrance is necessary during the renovation project. The temporary main entrance is marked by a blue awning on the street level. Parking areas remain the same, and hospital security staff and signage will direct visitors to the proper entrance.
Alternate Routes to TSRHC (Spanish)
From D/FW International Airport:
Take the south exit from the airport, and then take State Highway 183 East to Dallas. Continue on Highway 183 as it merges with Interstate 35E South. Exit Motor Street. Turn left and continue onto Medical District Drive (formerly Motor Street), and travel 8/10 of a mile to Maple Avenue. Turn right on Maple Avenue and travel one mile, through the Oak Lawn Avenue intersection, to Welborn Street. Turn right on Welborn Street to arrive at TSRHC.
From Love Field:
Turn right on Mockingbird Lane, going west. Turn left on Maple Avenue and, after crossing Oak Lawn Avenue, turn right on Welborn Street to arrive at TSRHC.
From Dallas North Tollway:
Take the Dallas North Tollway southbound. After passing the Mockingbird Lane exit, move to the two left-hand lanes. Continue through the tollbooths. Take a left at the first light, which is Wolf Street. Follow Wolf Street to Maple Avenue. Turn left on Maple Avenue. Turn left on Welborn Street to arrive at TSRHC.
From North Central Expressway/U.S. Route 75 South:
Take North Central Expressway/U.S. Route 75 south. Exit Lemmon Avenue. Remain on service road going south until you reach the Maple-Routh Connection. Turn right. Maple-Routh Connection becomes Maple Avenue. Continue on Maple Avenue to Welborn Street. Turn left on Welborn Street to arrive at TSRHC.
From Interstate 635:
Take Interstate 635 and follow the signs to Interstate 35E South. Once on Interstate 35E, exit Motor Street. Continue east on Medical District Drive (formerly Motor Street) 8/10 of a mile to Maple Avenue. Turn right on Maple Avenue and travel one mile, through the Oak Lawn intersection, to Welborn Street. Turn right on Welborn Street to arrive at TSRHC.
From Interstate 35E:
Traveling either north or south on Interstate 35E, exit Motor Street. Continue east on Medical District Drive (formerly Motor Street) 8/10 of a mile to Maple Avenue. Turn right on Maple Avenue and travel one mile, through the Oak Lawn intersection, to Welborn Street. Turn right on Welborn Street to arrive at TSRHC.
From Interstate 30:
Traveling either east or west, take Interstate 30 to Interstate 35E North. Once on Interstate 35E, exit Motor Street. Continue east on Medical District Drive (formerly Motor Street) 8/10 of a mile to Maple Avenue. Turn right on Maple Avenue and travel one mile, through the Oak Lawn intersection, to Welborn Street. Turn right on Welborn Street to arrive at TSRHC.
From Interstate 20:
Take Interstate 20 to Interstate 35E North. Once on Interstate 35E, exit Motor Street. Continue east on Medical District Drive (formerly Motor Street) 8/10 of a mile to Maple Avenue. Turn right on Maple Avenue and travel one mile, through the Oak Lawn intersection, to Welborn Street. Turn right on Welborn Street to arrive at TSRHC.
From Interstate 45:
Take Interstate 45 North to Interstate 35E North. Once on Interstate 35E, exit Motor Street. Continue east on Medical District Drive (formerly Motor Street) 8/10 of a mile to Maple Avenue.
