Center for Dyslexia – Assessment Specialist   
Position will administer and interpret individualized psycho-educational evaluations with school-age children and provide intervention–oriented recommendations to their families. Master’s- or Ph.D.-level applicants who have experience with evaluation, diagnosis and research-based recommendations for learning disorders are encouraged to apply. Educational diagnosticians, school psychologists, clinical psychologists and pediatric speech-language pathologists will be considered. M-F, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Center for Dyslexia - Dyslexia Coordinator   
Position serves as a liaison between the hospital and Texas public schools for information about dyslexia and related subjects. Develops and presents workshops on dyslexia and related topics that reflect departmental philosophy and current research for teachers, parents, school administrators and community groups at the hospital and at statewide locations. Provides training and consultation for teachers in the implementation and use of the Dyslexia Training Program and TSRHC Literacy Program. Candidate should have a master's degree in education or a related field. Academic Language Therapy certification is preferred, as well as a minimum of two years experience applying dyslexia intervention techniques, preferably in a public school setting. Experience in public presentation is preferred. M-F, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Family Services - Social Worker II    
Assists patients and families with comprehensive psycho-social assessments, interventions, supportive counseling, treatment plans and follow-up appropriate to problems and needs presented or identified. MSW or MSSW degree in social work from an accredited (CSWE) social work program preferred. Minimum Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners (TSBSWE) licensure required for Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW). At least three to five years of social work experience preferred, with one year of healthcare experience. Experience with developmentally delayed or neurologically impaired children preferred. Bilingual skills are a plus. M-F, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Human Resources – Employment Coordinator  
This position will coordinate the recruitment, selection and placement of permanent and temporary staff and will also be responsible for new staff member orientation. Other duties will include conducting exit interviews as well as assessing information for impact on future recruitment and placement. Applicant must be able to effectively communicate with applicants, directors and outside entities. Will prepare and place recruitment advertisements, coordinate job postings and screen/track resumes and applications. Current knowledge of federal regulations affecting the employment process. Requires excellent analytical abilities and strong organizational skills. Must have excellent customer service skills. Experience preferred. Candidate must have a detailed background with statistical modeling, performance evaluation, attribution analysis and portfolio construction. Public Relations – Officer/Writer    
This public relations position will research and write for internal and external publications, newsletters, brochures and many other written pieces. Must have a passion for writing and possess superior verbal and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of AP style is a must. Writer position demands a creative, self-motivated individual with excellent editing, proofreading and organizational skills. Bachelor’s degree in professional writing/journalism, communication or related field required. Writers with experience in basic layout and Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator) in both Macintosh and PC format a plus. Research – Bone Biologist, PhD Level   
Provides leadership in the development of the translational research program. Collaborates with a clinician scientist and other research team members. Provides expertise in the area of molecular biology. Provides daily guidance to post-doctoral fellows, students and technicians. Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to obtain external funding and to publish regularly. Strong background experience in molecular and cell culturing techniques is required, as well as experience working with animal models. Ph.D. in a field of biological sciences with post-doctoral training in the area of bone biology or musculoskeletal research is required. M-F, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
