Center for Dyslexia – Assessment Specialist
Position will administer and interpret individualized psycho-educational evaluations with school-age children and provide intervention–oriented recommendations to their families. Master’s- or Ph.D.-level applicants who have experience with evaluation, diagnosis and research-based recommendations for learning disorders are encouraged to apply. Movement Science Lab – Research Assistant
Performs professional level science research assignments. Works with principal investigators within the assigned laboratory to perform and evaluate research procedures. Bachelor's degree in biomechanics, engineering, kinesiology or related field required, with two or more years of experience in a laboratory setting preferred. Pharmacy - Pharmacist
The Pharmacy department provides services to inpatients and outpatients ages birth to 18 years of age. Services are designed to reflect the needs of the patient population seen at TSRHC. Current clinical services include medication use evaluation, admission medication reconciliation, drug study oversight and inpatient and outpatient discharge medication education. The Pharmacist assures rational, safe and appropriate medication therapy for all patients and follows all laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy. Bachelor's degree or PharmD degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution is required. Current pharmacy license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and IV admixture certification are required. A minimum of one year of experience is preferred. Mon. – Fri. Research – Post-Doctoral Fellow (Genomics)
This position focuses on identifying and evaluating genetic risk factors for idiopathic scoliosis, a common pediatric developmental disorder, with the goal of elucidating causation that will inform new therapies. The laboratory also studies several rare genetic conditions, thus providing diverse research opportunities for applying genomic approaches to children’s diseases. The PhD/MD applicant should have a strong background in molecular genetics or related field and possess a solid publication record.
