WHAT:
Friends and children of all ages are invited to Bike Rodeo and Child Safety Day for an educational and entertaining morning at TSRHC.

Child Safety Day is designed to teach community children about traffic safety and general safety including poison control and fire and water safety. Children will have the opportunity to see the Dallas Police Department and CareFlite helicopters land, meet the official Dallas Fire Safety Robot and DPD Bike Bot and take the “Safety Day Pledge.” Children also may participate in an official fingerprinting activity with the Dallas Police Department and explore the inside of a fire truck. Lunch will be served at this rain or shine event.

Bike Rodeo provides a safe environment for children to practice bicycle safety skills by riding on a course designed to simulate actual road conditions. The activities will help make children aware of bicycle safety issues and will teach parents the importance of ensuring that children always use safety equipment. Children will have their bikes inspected and have the chance to win a bike. Every child will receive a free bike helmet.
