Reference and criminal background checks are completed on each applicant.
Day volunteer hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., and evening volunteer hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Step Two: Face-to-Face Interview
After the background check is cleared and your application is processed, one of our volunteer coordinators will contact you to schedule an interview. During the informal interview, the coordinator will explore placement options and discuss a schedule with you. Your availability and interests, as well as the needs of the hospital, are considered in placement decisions.
Step Three: Orientation
We offer an orientation class one day and one evening each month to give you an overview of the hospital and the volunteer program. Volunteers are required to complete a tuberculosis screening prior to their start date. A free TB skin test is offered by our Employee Health nurse at orientation.
Treat yourself to a heartfelt opportunity and become a part of the TSRHC family.
