Becoming a Junior Volunteer
The Bernice and Brudus Junior Volunteer Program is a five week summer program for students ages 14 to 17.
Step One: Attend an Information Session

All information sessions will be from 5:30 pm to 6:30 p.m. in the Auditorium in the T. Boone Pickens Training and Conference Center at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
A parent or guardian is required to attend.
NOTE: All information sessions to learn more about the 2014 summer program are full. Please check our website December 1, 2014 for more information regarding the 2015 summer program.
Step Two: Complete a Junior Volunteer Application
Applications will ONLY be distributed at the information sessions. A cover letter attached to the application will include the deadline along with additional program dates.

Note: If you chose to mail your application, it must be post marked by the due date.
Step Three: Face-to-Face Interview
After your application has been reviewed, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. Interviews are informal and a chance to better explore volunteer placement options.
Step Four: Orientation
Orientation is required for all new and returning vunior volunteers. Dates and times will be given during the information session. Each orientation is two days. Volunteers are required to complete a tuberculosis screen prior to their start date, which is offered free of charge during orientation by our Employee Health Department.
