Special Events - Senior Special Events Officer

The Senior Special Events Officer is responsible for the planning and execution of internal and external hospital related events.  They will manage the development and implementation of all event logistics while building and strengthening relationships with hospital friends and patient families.  Responsibilities include project management, correspondence, hospital tours and close contact with the development, public relations and media departments. Bachelor degree in public relations, marketing or related field is required with five years experience in special event management preferred. Candidates should possess a demonstrated success for all aspects of special events, including development of event plans, budgets, sponsorships and committees.  Must possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a commitment to serve children and families.   Must possess notable communication and organizational abilities that allow one to promote a vision, articulate a strategy, and inspire both a team of co-workers and a committed group of volunteers. Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff. Work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Mon – Fri, Day Shift.
