Lane Wimberly, M.D.
Dr. Robert Lane Wimberly is a staff orthopaedist at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. He received his bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He completed his general surgery internship and his orthopaedic surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and completed the Dorothy and Bryant Edwards Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedics and Scoliosis at TSRHC in 2003. Dr. Wimberly previously served as assistant professor in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine and as resident education director at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He also served as assistant professor at The George Washington University Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, class of 2008, and a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. Dr. Wimberly is on the medical staff of Children’s Medical Center Dallas.
