2013 Legacy Scholarship Awards and Luncheon May 17, 2013

The Legacy Scholarship Program celebrated the achievements of this year’s scholars and 27 years of providing higher education scholarships to TSRHC patients at the annual Legacy Scholarship Awards and Luncheon on May 17.  Twenty TSRHC first-time patient scholarship recipients were introduced. Legacy Scholarship Program President, Gladys Kolenovsky, announced that for the 2013-14 academic year, 108 scholars received scholarships totaling more than $225,000 as approved by the board.

Chaired by TSRHC Trustee Doug Adkins, S.G.I.G.  The Legacy Scholarship Program was established in 1986 as a separate nonprofit  for the sole purpose of providing educational scholarships for former TSRHC patients. Over the program’s 27 years, more than 2,100 scholarships have been awarded totaling more than $3 million. Legacy Scholarships offer former patients financial assistance with the essentials such as tuition, books, room and board, and specialized individual needs. TSRHC Trustees Vernon Burke, Ronald Carter, Oswin Chrisman, Leonard Harvey and Frank Rockabrand attended the luncheon.
